Social media has become one of the most powerful tools available to independent filmmakers. Word of mouth has always driven the curious to pursue cinema, and social media opens up the pipeline for that word of mouth to carry – quite literally – across the globe.

Studios have begun to understand the value of sites like Twitter and Facebook (among others), and you can bet, after nearly a decade covering genre films for a whole slew of different outlets, I understand that value as well.

In 2016 social media is priceless.

Fans need to know that not only does your film exist, it boasts the kinds of qualities that hardcore genre followers love. Perhaps your film is stuffed full of graphic violence, or highly detailed gore. Maybe your movie features Johnny Depp in a lead role. Or maybe you’re on the cusp of unveiling the next great classic. Fans should know these things, and social media affords the maniacs who make these awesome movies to keep fans in the loop.

That’s why we’ll be putting a lot of emphasis on social media. We’ll be actively interacting with fans, uploading content that you – the filmmaker – toss our way and answering all questions hurled in the direction of your social media pages.

We’re more than willing to launch and maintain social media pages for your film.

If you’ve already covered that base and your social media sites are up and running, but a hectic schedule leaves you with a lack of time to network with the fans, we’ll be there for you. If you prefer to maintain sole control of your social media sites, we understand that as well.

To sum it all up – we’re here to take the social media reigns if you so desire. If you feel more comfortable controlling your facebook, twitter, google+ (and other) accounts, we understand that!

When all is said and done, we just want to make sure that the masses are discussing your film, sharing media from your film and creating interest among fellow horror freaks. We’re going to do what it takes to help you make that happen.
